Playing in water is fun for people of all ages and many people enjoy swimming, surfing and lots of other activities in water to their fullest. When this – typically bacteria-laden – water isn’t properly drained, the warm, moist environment of the ear canal creates a perfect environment for bacteria to multiply and may cause an infection.
